Emotional Authenticity Is The Hallmark Of My Work
I find that the most powerful imagery comes from meaningfully and intentionally connecting with your loved ones. Some of my most cherished images are those that document the tender moments in-between.
Hi, I’m Rachel.
Thank you for being here!
I grew up with a camera in my hands, and learned to appreciate the art of documenting authentic moments from a young age. My founding memories of photography are colored with nostalgia and excitement. The entire process brought me so much joy - from taking the photos, to developing the film, to patiently awaiting the prints, and to finally seeing the result.
Photography has accompanied me throughout all the major changes in my life. It has fueled my interest in traveling around the world and experiencing other cultures. It has helped me to reflect on the past and to look forward to the future. It has reminded me time and again that the connection between people is one of the most beautiful things we can witness.
While being a photographer is a major part of me, it is not all of me. When I’m not photographing a wedding, you’ll find me spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, drinking a latte while reading a book, baking, and working as a nurse.
My time away from the camera reminds me just how important it is to cherish the mundane, everyday moments of our lives. It inspires my commitment to documenting your love story beautifully and honestly.
My Philosophy and Style —
I am inspired by light, love, and landscapes, and captivated by instances in which they are inextricably connected. My style is grounded in organic elements, producing elevated imagery with a classic, natural feel. I love capturing authentic emotions and romanticizing intimate, everyday moments.
My goal is to give my clients the experience of seeing themselves through my lens. I aim to capture their love for one another and all the little ways in which it manifests: gentle touches, shared memories, exchanged glances, and the smile they reserve just for one another
I’ve always admired photography for its unique ability to transcend the moment captured. Though I document love stories, the photos I take aren’t just for my clients, but for all the people surrounding them who love them too. They’re for future generations to look back on, to appreciate the versions of their loved ones that they never got to meet.
