Kelsey and Rani’s wedding began with a slow, intentional pace. I shot their getting ready photos in an almost strictly documentary style to honor the quietness that blanketed those first few hours.

 
 
 
 

Session Highlights

After an emotional first look, we entered the Berkeley City Club pool. An Art Nouveau style indoor pool designed by Julia Morgan, it’s an iconic piece of history that remains preserved and utilized to this day. It made a stunning backdrop for some dramatic, editorial portraits.

Their reception is one of my favorites to date. Between the mix of natural and ambient candlelight, the ethereal color palette, and refined details, it came together seamlessly and paired perfectly with the architecture of the space.

When Kelsey and Rani saw it for the first time, they were completely speechless. Once the reception hall was filled, they entered with dancing and drums and the energy in the room was palpable.
